Asset Manager Finance - Workflow Process Maps

A reconstruction of an asset manager's core finance workflows. Each map has two views - how it is done today and the automated target state - with the human approval gates that stay human, and the steps that become automation.

These are our best-guess drafts. The intent is for your team to confirm, correct, and react so we jointly decide where automation pays off and where the workflow itself should change.

How to use this document

Open in any browser. For each map, toggle Today vs Automated and tell us:

People - manual System of record Automation Human control / approval gate Automation candidate flag Confirm feasibility (depends on system access)
Each map has two views - toggle "Today" vs "Automated". Today shows the work done by hand; Automated shows the target, with deterministic work moved to the automation lane and only true control gates (purple) left to people. The gates are the point: automation does the repetitive work, a human still approves and signs off. (Printing shows both views.)

    ◫ Shared Infrastructure

These maps are not eight (or nine) separate bots. Underneath sits a shared layer reused across processes - build it once and every process gets cheaper to automate. This is the real architecture conversation.

    ⚿ How It Stays Auditable

Aggressive automation is safe when it is wrapped in these controls - they are what let you automate more, not less, without weakening the audit position.

    ★ Automation Opportunity Register

Every automation candidate across all nine workflows. As comments come back, fill the last two columns to track what is real, sized, and greenlit - and what is better solved by changing the workflow than automating it.

Effort is a rough build estimate (Low ≈ days, Med ≈ 1–3 weeks, High ≈ 3+ weeks or new data/integration). Not a price.
